DELL 3080 Micro - USB C expansion module
Hello friends,
like my title says...where can i find such an expansion " USB-C" for and DELL 3080 micro..(MFF i think?). Or maybe an part number for this module...

I do not see USB type C being offered in 3080 MFF
spec mentions
Serial/Video Port (Serial/PS2/DP 1.4/HDMI 2.0b/VGA) (optional)

on the other hand 7080 MFF has optional USB type C
7080 MFF spec:
Serial/Video Port (Serial/PS2/DP 1.4/HDMI 2.0/VGA/USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with DP Alt Mode) (optional)
USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 2 Alt Modeportfor Micro
This is probably b/c 3080 MFF is entry level therefore does not have high end amenity such as Type C optional port.
the 3080 MFF mobo does not have socket to accommodate type C module either.

as per Service Manual (Updated: May 12, 2025) from DELL there is such module .

in this case the Dell manual has error which we have seen in other manual too. they copied n pasted the content from 7080MFF without deleting.
to convince yourself, look at your 3080 MFF motherboard. It does not have a white Type C socket next to video.
