Dell low profile bracket cover
Can Dell supply low profile bracket cover for free ?
For the recent Optiplex that I bought, to use the PCIe slot I have to break the metal cover.
So after using the PCIe slot I have nothing suitable to cover it back.
I have tried some left over HP bracket but Dell design a bit different, with some kind of latch that HP doesn't have.
Dell is really cheapskate these days not to provide these covers by default.

Dell free stuff not sure, but they are cheap on eBay.

The links that you provide will not fit a Optiplex 7080.
See the link that I provided and note the little latch.
That's why I find this so hard to find, design is not standard. Impossible to find this in Australia.

Agree the Dell bracket is proprietary. I have a bunch of standard height Dell bracket with this type of latch. The latch retains the bracket (locks it in place). Are you also looking for fenestrated slot cover too? Those are more special and cost more on retail if available.
here is eBay sale of lot of 6 non fenestrated with latch but not sure seller willing to ship to AU.
the generic one without latch would still “work” albeit not OEM looking, IMO. you just need to use screws to retain them. But I could be wrong since I do not have 7080 case in hand.

The case has no screw hole to fit a generic one.
Tech support is making my blood boil. F it I'll use HP low profile bracket and a bit of tape.
I'm going back to HP for my next machine. How nice of HP all the covers and little HDD screws all provided.
