Dell OptiPlex 3000 Micro - IO Daughterboard HowTo Install?

HI,

myself is working with Dell Optiplex Micros for quite some time, even i mostly have them as spare, not in masses.
I sadly needed to find out that the Optiplex 3000 Micro HDMI port is reduced to 1920x1080 only.
The 3090s have 2x DP and there it isnt a problem, i think just those and 3080s have 2xDP instead of 1xDP and 1xHDMI, speaking of 30xx series atleast, not sure why it was reversed now port wise.
Back then while myself was working with 3050s and 3060s i dont remember if those were limited in resolution on HDMI, but at this time UHD/4k wasnt a topic. Hence i even had some with optional VGA port!

So but now, with staff having 2x27" UHD screens, this is just painful, no idea what Dell was thinking here.

I now luckily own some 3090 with optional HDMI port as well, which i now would like to transfer over to a 3000 Micro.
Question is, how do they install those?
Dont get me wrong, I know how to seat and connect the "daughterboard", but the problem is more the shielding/chassis.
Do i need to cut out the metal or?
Otherwise the port is not sitting correctly into or may blocked.
Is there also some shielding part which i can transfer over to the 3090, so that there is no "hole" in the back?
In general, is there any video or tutorial for installing those?
ThanksChassis.JPGHDMI.jpeg

It does look like you can use a phillips-head screwdriver and twist it from side to side to remove the temporary shield for your new connector.

True, it required some really heavy pushing, but it indeed worked.
However, the metal, even after forming it back/flatting it, doesnt fit anymore into the older 3090, but i guess thats hardly the intention of this whole system....could have been made more easy.
The hole now would be some superb spot for some internal USB usage, but i will likely just tape it.
Thanks.
