Dell Optiplex 5070 SFF POST issue

Hey guys,

So this is a weird one. I have a 5070 SFF that is fine except that when I shut it down, it refuses to power back on when I press the power button. I am treated to a flashing orange power button. Checking troubleshooting for POST messages in the dell manual does really yield much of a explanation. This doesn't happen when I just restart, it'll restart just fine. The only thing I have found to remedy this, is to turn the PC off at the plug, wait and then re-power everything up, at which point the PC POSTs just fine. Ideas?

Try reseating the RAM. If that does not help try the RAM in a different DIMM slot. Also it may be a sign of RAM or other hardware that is failing such as a PSU problem.
