Dell optiplex 790 UEFI file system not found error
I recently got this pc and put a windows 10 HDD in it, it booted fine and all but later I wanted to install linux on my second HDD, I made a bootable usb stick and went to the bios to change it to boot first and I noticed it was in legacy mode , I did not care till I cant get the usb stick to boot and once I changed it to UEFI mode I see no options so I try to add some but it gave me the "FILE SYSTEM NOT FOUND" error . So I did some tutorial on how to fix it but none work.

It only gives legacy boot options and it does not pick up usb stick as booteble, so I have to use the internal HDD as usb but its picked up as a "legacy boot option"

But your bootable flash drive was made while in Legacy mode.
To be clear, your BIOS does have the UEFI option, right? Please see screengrabs. Also, in Advanced Boot Options, did you turn off Legacy Option Roms as somebody suggested earlier?

Ok so when in uefi mode there's two options on top but on mine their is none plus there is no advance boot options. I tried to make a bootable uefi but still no detecting it in uefi or legacy but I can do a bootable hdd

Class 1 UEFI is legacy only.
Secure boot requires CLASS 2.3.1 UEFI bios.
Your system will NEVER have any boot other than Legacy MBR.
GPT Secure boot is not an option with CLASS 1 UEFI Bios.
Class 0: Legacy BIOS
Class 1: UEFI in CSM-only mode (i.e. no UEFI booting)
Class 2: UEFI with CSM
Class 3: UEFI without CSM No legacy allowed at all.
Bios that meets the UEFI 2.3.1 hardware requirements is required for GPT secure boot windows 8 and 10. Secure boot requires UEFI v2.3.1 and has the Microsoft Windows WHQL Certificates in the UEFI signature database .

That figures.
Correction on my part - I thought speedstep or somebody in this thread said to turn off Legacy Option ROM's, but upon further review, apparently not.

Oh ok well that I guess but what about it not detecting anything externally bootable? I can use a internal HDD as a usb but I cant use a usb
