Re: The 14TB drive in question has been tested on another system with sata and in a usb dock. The drive works fine in other systems.
connect the 14tb in ? to 9010 sata 1 or 2 port, i.e., swap one of the two working 14 tb for the one in ? Do not swap any cable, only swap the drives. If not seen, this hdd in ? is somehow incompatible with 9010.
if 14tb in ? is seen by 9010 in sata 1/2, but not in sata3, keep it connected to 3, disconnect one of the two working 14 tb from sata 1 or 2. does 9010 see the 14tb in ? in sata 3 now? If yes there is somehow a ceiling of your pc max storage capacity.
If still not seen, remove both working hdd from sata 1/2, try again. If still no, connect one of the working hdd to sata 3 using its own cable. If the working hdd is seen, it proves sata 3 can support 14 tb. and it also proves the hdd in ? is incompatible with sata 3.
if the working hdd is also not seen in sata 3 (with sata 1/2 empty), there is a problem with the port.
