Dell Optiplex 9020 White Light Power and Storage Blinking

Initially, I believed the issue was with my operating system and attempted to resolve it by reformatting and installing a new one. However, after three days, the problem persisted. Upon inspection, I confirmed that my power supply was functioning correctly by observing the green light on the back of the PSU. I discovered that the issue could be resolved temporarily by rearranging the placement of my RAM, which consists of two 8GB modules in four available slots. I also check to see if all of the RAM slots are operational, and they are because when I open it, I run the dxdiag. As there are no local experts in Dell Optiplexes, I am seeking assistance to find a permanent solution. Thank you for your time and consideration.

The light that I am referring to is located on the Front I/O of my Dell Optiplex and it blinks one at a time. Currently, I am unable to reach the Dell logo. I plan to attempt a reset, but if any difficulties arise, I would appreciate your continued support. Thank you for promptly responding, and have a great day.

"White Light Power and Storage Blinking"  Not sure what you mean by "storage."

Is the white light blinking a pattern, or just blinking?  Is it blinking orange at all?

I take it your PC is not booting to OS.  Do you even get the Dell logo?  It is smart to test with the PSU test button with PC off.  But green light and spinning fans doesn't necessarily mean PSU is good.  It does mean, however, that your internal peripherals are good.

First try:  How to Perform a BIOS or CMOS Reset and Clear the NVRAM on Dell Computers  When you do this, replace the size 2032 CMOS battery with a new one.  Bad batteries can cause boot problems.

HDD light is an activity light.  I'm sure you observed it before when PC was working.  But now it's simply blinking steady and PC is not booting.

I'd still like you to try the reset linked above.  It's often the first place to start and of course it would be unwise to miss it.  And it has been missed before.

Then, if PC is still not booting, try a different HDD/SSD.

I have a 7010 MT with 2 hot swap HDD bays installed with each having a single light that shows power and activity depending on the color.  For some reason, with the SSD, the activity light keeps blinking steady, but everything else is working fine.  We rarely ever had to use an HDD light as part of diagnostics.  But that doesn't mean there can be exceptions.

Another thing to try, upon startup, immediately and repeatedly press F12* for the Boot diagnostics menu.  Arrow down to Diagnostics and run it.  *No waiting for Dell logo or keyboard light   If you can't access it, it's likely an MB problem.  Please remember the reset first.
