Don't want windows
Hello,
I'd like to buy a Dell micro form factor, but since I'm a Linux user since years I don't want to pay for a PC that comes Windows 10 preinstalled. Do you know if there is a way to obtain one without Windows 10? (and save some money)
Thanks

Try using the Dell.com business sales site. This is a technical forum with users helping other users.

@pazzoide
I wouldn't even bother trying. If you do get them to supply without windows, the discount would be very small, because a bulk buyer like dell doesn't pay the retail price for windows.
If you were buying thousands, you would have a better chance of negotiating a contract deal.

There is no WINDOWS discount so no.
Dell does not sell machines for less just because windows isn't on the machine.
Microsoft has been forcing their resellers to do this for many years.
In order to be a Microsoft partner they cannot sell a bare machine.
UEFI secure boot further entrenches Microsoft because the hardware will not boot from ANY os that doesn't have microsoft certificate.
Thats why you must use UBUNTU or REDHAT etc because they payed to have MICROSOFT certificate so they can boot on current hardware.
Microsoft has also tried to make linux no longer free

If you want a micro get a 9020
Thats new enough that everything including windows 10 is supported.
newer models from everyone will be 64 bit only and windows 10 only and very expensive.

well buy one used for far less, and put in new SSD and load Linux.
or as others said buy it as business PC, and do CTO, configured to order,
or 3rd choice build your own PC, buy nice case and put in Asus.com Z270 or Z370 Mobo in it and fly.
but why a micro.? lack desk space , really , a real PC has vastly better upgrade options
why let 12 square inches more of desk space ,kill that idea dead.
