Front microphone jack not working
I am using optiplex 3070 SFF and installed the audio drivers, waves maxx and intel chipset from the official website. When I try to use the front jack to use my microphone it doesn't work. I have tried doing the solution that was on the same issue on a different thread but it doesn't do anything. Also I used to have this Dell Audio software and now it is gone.

Hi @sirhca13,
What solution was tried? Has Dell Optimizer been tried?

With microphone connected - Right click speaker icon in taskbar > click on Sounds Settings (window opens) > click Recording tab > double-click on microphone icon (2nd window opens) > click Listen tab > check box for "Listen to this device" My screengrab shows headphones, but I'm sure you get it. : )

I was afraid that might happen and I don't know why it does that. With microphone connected, go into Device Manager and Update Hardware.
If that doesn't work, the only other idea I have to go into the Start menu, in the search bar type "add device," and see if that gives you something.

I made a video in relation to last sentence in above post. Has to be newer or newest version of Win10. https://youtu.be/gsN8le82RyU Make sure microphone is turned on.

Upon further review, I also noticed "Bluetooth and other devices" is in the menu when the Settings window is opened. Even in an older version of Win10. Might've noticed sooner, but don't have to add devices every day. : )>
Any luck yet?
