Pirated or Corrupted copies of windows have those issues.

The games are not installed by default AND they are removed from windows 8 and 10.

  1. Download the Windows 7 Games for Windows 8 and 10 installer Download Windows 7 games for Windows 10
  2. Extract the contents of the 146 Megabyte archive to the local system and run the installer afterwards.
  3. The installer displays all Windows 7 games, and it is up to you to install all of them or only select ones.
  4. Games included: Chess Titans, FreeCell, Hearts, Mahjong Titans, Minesweeper, Purble Place, Solitaire, Spider Solitaire, Internet Backgammon, Internet Checkers, Internet Spades
  5. Once installed, you can run all games from the start menu.

Hello your solution didnt work on windows 7 64bit...i tried something else that worked..here it is: click Start< My Computer. Navigate to C:\Program Files. Copy the entire Microsoft Games folder and paste it in the C:\Program Files (x86) folder. Now navigate to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games folder. For each game right click on the games .exe file, click Properties then click on the Compatibility Tab and make sure the Compatibility Mode is set to Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008. Click Ok when done and repeat the process for each game .exe file in the Microsoft Games folder

The correct way for windows 7 is to have non pirated media and add features back to windows and chack the Games to reinstall.

The default with newer windows is not installed.

Go into the Control Panel by clicking on Start – Settings – Control Panel.
In the Control Panel, double click on Programs and Features.
In the Programs and Features window, click on the Turn Windows features on or offlink in the left column.
In the Windows Features window, just check the box next to the Games.

Where are my games?

Games that come with Windows, and any new games you choose to install, appear in the Games folder.

Open the Games folder by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Games.

If you don't see a particular title, it could be for one of these reasons:

  • It's an older game. New games automatically show up in the Games folder when you install them. Older titles might not. To add the game manually, see Install a game in the Games folder.

  • Games are turned off. By default, the games that come with Windows are turned off, in some editions. To turn them back on:

    1. Click the Start button Picture of the Start button, click Control Panel, click Programs, and then under Programs and Features, click Turn Windows features on or off.

    2. Select the Games check box, and then click OK.

  • It's a premium game. Some Windows games, such as Chess Titans or Internet Checkers, only come with premium editions of Windows.
