I'm looking for an air cooler for my Optiplex 9020 MT, what's the maximum cooler size i can fit in it???

Some models use the case instead of back plate.

only way to tell is to remove board and check

I think Im gonna get the coolermaster hyper 400 series cooler, they're around 136mm in height which is shorter compared to the cryorig h7 (145mm) and half as cheap for 35-40 bucks

What about the back plate, last time I checked you can't access the back of the motherboard.

Yes It has a removable back plate.  back plate  by default Dell MT has back plate in contrast to DT or SFF which often have back plate built into back chassis wall and are not removable.

Nobody is posting that.

Dell doesn't support anything other than OEM and they do not post pin outs or other specifications ever.

If you want to know pull out a plastic ruler and check.
