Memory optiplex 3080 micro
Hello.
Bought an optiplex 3080 micro, with only 16G of ram.
Would you like to add more 16G, do dual channel, Dell only sells 1 16G memory?
I only need 1 16G memory.
What are the memories, and compatible models with optiplex 3080 micro, if Dell does not sell only 1 16G memory?
Thanks

community recommended memory is from Crucial.

The simplest thing would be:
take a photo of Your existing memory module and determine if it's a Samsung, Micron, SK-Hynix and buy the same on ebay or anywhere else, this way DUAL CHANNEL will work for sure.
Or, buy 2 modules (a pair) but make sure it's at least 2666MHz speed (I assume Dell has put at least a 3200MHz RAM into Your PC) and sell the single module on ebay.
Micron, SK-Hynix, Samsung, Crucial should work (my experience)
After inserting them into the PC and BEFORE booting the OS (Windows) press F12 several times and go into the Diagnostics. Select thorough mode and test the memory.
Oh and check in the BIOS settings if the PC has recognized both memory modules and that they are working in DUAL CHANNEL mode.
If everything is fine, than start the OS.
