Mouse and keyboard not responding

Question

Hi all  I was experiencing problem with the USB ports connections, any new device such as memory stick will not work. It is a company desktop (optiplex 9020) that I am using at home right now. However, I uninstalled all usb drivers and then mouse and keyboard stopped working. I restarted the computer using the bottom. Now at the lock screen, I cannot enter my password because even the old keyboard is not responding. I check the USB configuration from BIOS settings and they were all enabled. Is there a way I can fix it without going back to IT department?   Appreciate your help on this Thanks Bader

You might have to use a keyboard with PS/2 connection.  If you can't navigate enough with keyboard to get USB drivers reinstalled, then you'll need a PS/2 mouse.  If needed, both PS/2 keyboards and mice are sold on ebay and amazon just to name two.
