Opitplex 7060 micro blinking amber light.

When I power the unit up the fan runs but the light on the power button goes from solid amber to blinking amber. It never turns white and I don't get anything on the monitor. I have tried resetting the CMOS  by removing the battery and letting it sit with no power. I replaced the battery with a new battery and still no change. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try clear cmos settings by motherboard CMOS_CLR jumper.  Look for JMP1 on motherboard.  Instructions 2888BB53-3EFF-4705-BDE5-1660F181C558.jpeg

Just to ensure I did this right. I removed the blue jumper from the center 2 posts and moved it to the top 2 posts. I let it sit a few minutes and moved the blue jumper back to the center 2 posts. If that's correct then no change.  I still just get the blinking amber light and the fan.

The Real Time Clock (RTC) reset function allows you to recover Dell systems from No POST/No Power/No Boot situations. The legacy jumper enabled RTC reset has been retired on these models.

Start the RTC reset with the system powered off and connected to AC power. Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds. The system RTC Reset occurs after you release the power button.

If the power light is green and the computer is not responding, see Diagnostic Lights.

If the power light is blinking green, the computer is in standby mode. Press a key on the keyboard, move the mouse, or press the power button to resume normal operation.

  • If the power light is off, the computer is either turned off or is not receiving power.
  • Reseat the power cable into both the power connector on the back of the computer and the electrical outlet.
  • If the computer is plugged into a power strip, ensure that the power strip is plugged into an electrical outlet and that the power strip is turned on.
  • Bypass power protection devices, power strips, and power extension cables to verify that the computer turns on properly.
  • Ensure that the electrical outlet is working by testing it with another device, such as a lamp.

@redxps630 Hi...i got this orange blink LED issue too. Try to change new Bios battery and RTC reset with system power button as your advice already. But it is no luck for me. Dell support told that no power provide to RAM slot. Current power can provide CPU / FAN / LED ... etc. Dell told that have to replace new mainboard. I'm not sure root cause will come from mainboard / Ram / power supply. For me, all parts are look good condition without any dust in computer case. This computer was rarely using and shutdown 3 years up. It can't boot up no today. Any advise will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
