optiplex 3050 micro pc
I have one of the above unit. I was wondering if I could change out motherboards. I have now a D8-MFF-BF and would like to go to
D8-MFF-SF.

It seems like to want to replace 3050 micro motherboard with a 7050 micro. The front connectors may be an issue as they looked slightly different, see below. Other than that, it might fit.
There may not be much performance differences if you just move all components over from the 3050M. If the main goal is for performance upgrade, a whole unit replacement would be better economic choice.

3050 and 7050 MFF rear IO is the same but front IO is different like chino said. it would look odd to have USB C port in a USB 3.0 opening aperture. you may be better off buy a 7050 MFF front bezel
PS 3050 and 5050 MFF use same style front bezel except for logo difference
