INTEL ICH Raid does not support trim so thats not a good idea to use SSD's. The other issue is that INTEL is abandoning RST and the Software Raid App.  Intel Rapid Storage Technology and Intel® Optane™ Memory Applications Will No Longer Be Updated (End-of-Life Notice) The following applications are being EOL’d (end-of-life). They will no longer be available starting with Intel® RST version 18.0 .

One reson for this is that M keyed only PCI-E storage is already much faster than sata raid anything via INTEL RST Raid.

Intel B460 chipset does list raid support but that doesnt mean dell supported it in BIOS.

For Intel® RAID™ technology products, the TRIM feature is not supported. This capability for Solid State Drives may be grayed out or not functional as a result. This type of RAID does not involve a hardware RAID card and instead utillizes  BIOS along with Intel Rapid Storage Technology
