Optiplex 380, PSU compatibility
Hello, I just wanted to know if the H305P-00 305 Watt power supply is compatible with the Dell Optiplex 380? The board model is CN-0H7XN.
When I used the 305 Watt power supply in question, the computer turned on, but the fans ramp up really high, and there is a Crackling sound coming from the CPU.
The only lights that display are the power LED, and HDD indicator (power button LED is solid green, HDD is solid).
Are there any conclusions?

Dell never validated a 305w PSU on this 9 year old PC. The highest wattage was 255.
