Optiplex 5000 BIOs Keyboard failure

Hi, We own two Optiplex 5000 with Cherry USB keyboards connected and both often fail to detect these keyboards on startup.We get BIOS error messages (Can not detect keyboard). If we continue booting into the OS the keyboards won't work but if we disconnect and reconnect them they start working regardless of the OS (Windows10, OpenSUSE Linux).   Rarely the Optiplex will detect them on boot. both keyboards work flawlessly on other (not Dell) computers. Any suggestions to fix this?

Test with a regular or oem keyboard.  The issue could be with the (gaming) keyboards not passing BIOS.  Have you try with secure boot disabled.
