OptiPlex 7000 Display
Just purchased set up OptiPlex 7000, used WhatsApp desktop for a vidio call the vidio was very washed out/watery, cannot see any method of enhancing this.
I use this device for work/business so no games. Can I enance the output or do I need to buy a Vid card?

You do not need to buy optional video card if not gaming.
if video looks bad to you, call Dell support. It should not be like that.
another test you can do yourself is run user benchmark test. Compare your pc video performance with others.https://gpu.userbenchmark.com
the 7000 tower video spec:
Intel® UHD Graphics 730 for 12th Generation Intel CoreTM i3-12100, i3-12300, and i5-12400 processors
Intel® UHD Graphics 770 for 12th Generation Intel CoreTM i5-12500, i5-12600, i5-12600K, i7-12700, i7- 12700K, i9-12900, and i9-12900K processors
NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 3070, 8GB GDDR6 (optional)
AMD RadeonTM RX640, 4GB GDDR5 (optional)
RadeonTM 550, 2GB GDDR5 (optional)

I've 4x 4K displays and CPU bound GPU' performance is terrible in 4K (not like totally freezing but clearly visible).
Plus running two of 4K webcams (Logitech Brio) does require some processing power (video encoding) too therefore loading CPU even further.
Because of all above I had to switch into dedicated GPU unfortunately (Nvidia T1000, sadly A2000 doesn't fit despite having right power profile - form factor is dual slot, and SFF has very inconvenient PCIe x16 location, so it won't fit).
@palcouk : Specification with
allmost In/Out jacks is available on Dell's support sectionIt has 3x SATA connectors and 3x Nvme slots (fourth M.2 is for WiFi or LTE comm device)

Thanks, the video is fine when using the MS HD camera so I assume its maybe a WhatsApp setting.
I added a second ssd in the internal bay, but there is no sata cable for a second ssd which the specs shows that its supported.
I 'm assuming you have to remove the hd bay and the DVD in order to access a mobo sata connector, but its not clear, and I cannot find any detailed internal diagrams, or utube how to for the 7000 SFF PC

re: there is no sata cable for a second ssd which the specs shows that its supported.
For a second 2.5 sata ssd, follow steps in adding 2.5” hard drive. since there are two hard drive sata ports (black/blue) on mobo, there ought to be two sata power connectors readily available. If you do not see a second sata data cable, Dell factory has probably forgotten to install one in this unit. Call Dell support to dispatch one cable to you.

Contacted Dell support and provided the Tag# & Order ref# they simply provided the instructions on how to add another drive, when asked about the lack of cable they then told me to call sales.
Passing the buck me thinks

Sometimes takes some art of persuasion with Dell online chat support to convince them that new pc in warranty is missing a part that should be there, and ask them to dispatch. It depends on the user and chat person. But if it is a headache not worth your time, then get a generic cable yourself.
