Optiplex 7010 Power Supply Upgrade

Hi! I have an Optiplex 7010 MT, and I purchased a Gamdias Kratos M1-550b to put inside my system. I purchased this becuase I wanted to put a 1060 to make this a respectable budget gaming pc. When I plug in the psu and try to start it up, it gives me the flashing orange light on the power button. I googled what that means and apperently it means there is something wrong with the psu, but I purchased it brand knew and it is known good. If anyone knows why this happens or what other power supplies will work with this. Thanks a bunch in advance!

Compare labels with your new and old PSU.  New PSU probably doesn't have enough power on the 3.3v/5v rails.

Aftermarket PSU's often boast more total power, but skimp on the 3.3v/5v rails as compared to Dell PSU's, which are kind of special.

One of our Rockstars regularly recommends 700w EVGA B1 or BR PSU with 150w combined power on the aforementioned rails.

Beware of generic junk that can either not work or worse, damage a Dell PC.

Out of curiosity, have you tried your new PSU without the GPU card installed?

Power supplies are not a single spec of WATTS and a single rail of 12v

3.3v/5v combined rail must be 150w  to 225W

EVGA 700BR is bare minimum for a 150W to 375W card.

Above linked PSU still only has 100w combined on the 3.3v/5v rails.
