Optiplex 7020 SFF BIOS Updates Break USB
Good afternoon,
We have many Optiplex 7020 SFF machines deployed. These are on revision A02 of BIOS with A13 being the newest. If I update the BIOS, I lose all USB ports. I can still remote into the affected PC and it operates fine otherwise. All other drivers that the Support Assist program finds are updated. Any ideas as to what may be the cause or solution? USB is not disabled in the BIOS. Thank you.

Hi theitgui,
Thanks for posting. Apologies that your "many" Optiplex machines are not performing as expected.
If you have more than 5 machines, it's probably because your organization is a company or a school. This Forum is primarily Consumer oriented, so there's probably not many users here with the same issue. If that's the case, your organization has a Technical Account Manager who is aware of the specifications of your machines and the type of warranty you have. Please contact your TAM for assistance, if you're having difficulty locating who that is, your IT department head or purchasing department will have that information. If not, please contact me privately and I'll locate them for you.

I apologize, I was not aware that this was a consumer focused board. I solved the issue already on my own. Thank you. Please delete.

Thanks for posting back. For Legacy systems, you can always search the Enterprise Solutions Forum.
I'll leave it up so others can be helped.
