Optiplex 790 won't boot after replacing battery...
OptiPlex 790
Computer wouldn't boot & was displaying the message that system time was wrong, so after resetting date & time, tried booting again & no luck. Going through all the troubleshooting options was getting me no where so I reset the BIOS setting to default & it was finally booting to Windows. I figured replacing the battery would be a good option at this point & after that, computer will not boot. Power light is solid blue & lights 1 & 3 are solid.
I am open to suggestions!

A Reference Guide to the Dell OptiPlex Diagnostic Indicators
Try one RAM stick at a time to rule out a bad module. Be sure PC is unplugged from wall outlet when working on the inside of PC. Only have monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Disconnect any other peripherals.

I removed the RAM & left the computer with battery out, unplugged & both power plugs disconnected from mobo for several hours.
When I put it all back together, I was able to get to the screen that detected the wrong time & after setting the time, selected restore defaults & all was well again!
