Optiplex 990 SFF BIOS A24 Needs Fix
I have an Optiplex 990 that I have added an LSI Raid card in the top pcie slot as I have an aftermarket cooler on the CPU and my graphics card won't fit on top so needs to be on the bottom slot. I upgraded to A24 Bios and the USB keyboard doesn't activate until AFTER the LSI card BIOS runs (which runs BEFORE the Dell BIOS), so I can't press "ctrl-c" to manage my arrays. A23 works fine as I can see the keyboard is lit up right from the computer start.
PS:
These things make great little budget gamers, mine has hardware raid 0 ssd, i7 2600, gtx1080 and 16gb ram... impressive benchmarks for the $$$ spent.

This is a 2011 era machine and Dell only supports (has drivers) for XP to Win 7.
5 years is generally the support for a device. I seriously doubt any further BIOS
updates will be offered.

You cant use a raid card in the X16 video slot. This model does not support X4 or X8 cards.

I CAN and I AM...
And it works 100% in A23 BIOS
Can't use a x4, x8 card on an x16 slot, I beg to differ.
