Optiplex Tower Plus 7010 - Power Supply PSU Options
Hi there.
Can anyone recommend a suitable power supply for the Optiplex Tower Plus 7010 - looking to add a basic graphics card. Around 500w would be plenty.
Thank you

The Tower Plus 7010 comes has an optional 500w PSU available.
Right now, it looks like it's only orderable from the factory with it. In Dell's parts finder tool, only the 180w PSU was listed separately, as if it'll be a super popular spare part.
Hi @redxps630 - By any chance is there a 500w PSU from another Dell model that'll work with the Tower Plus 7010?

I believe it uses same 460w psu for XPS8950, which has 8+4+4 pin.
the next compatible higher power psu is the 750w for 8950, which has 10+4+4 pin.

PNWT1 460W Bronze, Acbel (XPS 8950, Aurora R13/R14)
389MC 460W Bronze, Chicony (XPS 8950, Aurora R13/R14)
T63HC 460W Bronze, Huntkey (XPS 8950, Aurora R13/R14)
tower plus 7010 motherboard
after Dell released high end Alder lake desktop line in XPS n Aurora it is adding the Optiplex, Inspiron and Vostro models for business and mainstream consumer mkt. Dell uses same psu design albeit at lower per ratings here.

You can just use the Optiplex 7000 tower psu below which is immediate predecessor of tower plus 7010.
7000: 12th gen, tower plus 7010: 13th gen

That link goes to the old Optiplex 7010, not the new Dell Optiplex tower/SFF (plus) 7010.

Ive been searching this topic for a while and never bothered to actually look at the Dell site for parts. I looked it up on their site the other day and the 500w PSU upgrade was available for the Optiplex 7010 Plus Tower, PN showed to be: Manufacturer part C20GG | Dell part C20GG | Order Code c20gg | Dell
I ordered it and the actual DPN on the PSU is 2FF1F.
Everything works flawlessly, no message on start up.
I would post a picture but it's not allowing me to upload it - I hope this helps someone.

@redxps630
I can confirm this works! I found a power supply on amazon for the 7000 and it had the exact same 8 pin connector for the motherboard (even the same wire colors), had the 2x4 pins for the CPU, and then had the 2 of the 6/8 pin connectors for graphics card. I was able to put a rtx 2060 graphics card into the 7010 thanks to this 500w power supply.

Greetings all, My apologies if some of what I'm posting has been answered, but after mistakenly purchasing 2 different 500W PSU, I'm still left without being able to install the graphic card I also purchased. I have an Optiplex 7010 Tower, and need to upgrade the 180W PSU to 500W. My questions are, is this PSU compatible with the 7010 tower (https://www.amazon.com/Compatible-L500EPS-01-DPS-500AB-58A-D500EPS-01-HU500EPS-00/dp/B0CQLFKCPJ/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2I1OC9N74RM72&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.8HLuWna6yg_pLXMnEl3U06s4zTkR18GUme9meupGzmo2KM8PXSnNCjZCuK6VX-bdJe1IuH9nEcCNfBnJKRQLTEX2WS8BY4i6l_hRQw9Txh4EHx3wbGJ8jJo6ATkYMQ6VU_XT2yCVfyRAfHWrEy3mzkocM2uozvyg1bLmaUsCBkgaYsNKbRr8MO4BCv8sWlgvwTJ5bba_fsCnVfb33F_3Gn_jbZP86IW5GYz_OsYGrjo.4AsTRZRO4xD9MAvABOGvNgZJLmQYjxkX73O6MkHTdRY&dib_tag=se&keywords=500W+internal+power+supply+unit+%28PSU%29%2C+80+Plus+Platinum+for+optiplex+7000+tower&qid=1751646643&sprefix=500w+internal+power+supply+unit+psu+%2C+80+plus+platinum+for+optiplex+7000+tower%2Caps%2C92&sr=8-1) and will the wiring also work? Thanks for your help and again, sorry if the answer is listed above, I just don't want to make another mistake.
