Closest answer I could find and a few ideas.  Do you have Dell Client Command Suite ?

May need to have Dell Command Update.

Thanks bradthetechnut. The issue was actually this (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-client/networking/mapped-drives-not-available-from-elevated-command). I had summarily dismissed this as it stated it was for a different OS than me but this was indeed this issue. I have since learned to disregard this in future documentation I might read, lol.
It looks like this Local Policy was missing from both machines as they were not reimaged when I received them. Once this was put back, it worked like a charm.
Thanks for getting back to me and offering to help, I sure appreciate it.

(I have no idea how to 'resolve' or close this issue so apologies)
