pops and cracks in usb audio

Greetings
My computer is connected via USB to two different DAC devices. In both cases there are noises when playing music and projecting movies. I tried everything, including changing drivers and changing USB cables. The problem appears both when working through the Realtek driver and through music playback software that bypasses that of the operating system with ASIO.
My system has undergone several recent BIOS updates and the situation is unchanged:
optiplex 3000
Windows 11 Pro
12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12500T 2.00 GHz
Thanks in advance

A similar problem happened in the Precision forum.  Static, pops, and cracks through USB to the right speaker.

The solution was to reload Dell Optimizer and make sure the unit has the latest sound drivers.

Greetings
Thanks for the answer, unfortunately it doesn't help. I have already reached the point of installing the operating system once more and that doesn't help either.

Is the 3000 under warranty yet?  May be you can exchange it.  It's sounding like a motherboard or front I/O panel problem.  I think I read the front I/O panel is now integrated with the MB.

Do the rear USB's do the same thing or are they the ones you're using?

By telling what CPU it has, that indicates you have the micro.  The USB's may be underpowered, especially if you have the 65w PSU brick.  It's something I heard of with some micro's in an office environment.

Indeed, you did mention the CPU in your first post, which is what I was referring to.

By any chance do you know what PSU is connected to the micro?  If it's the 65w output one, may be the 90w one could help.  It's not too unusual for micro's to be underpowered for what users want them for.  It looks like the 130w PSU for the 5000 micro has the same size barrel plug-in.

3000 micro:

7000 micro:

The 180w PSU for the 7000 micro would definitely be out of the question for the 3000 micro.

I haven't heard of any underpower complaints with the micro's with better PSU's

So there's my suggestion.  If your 3000 has the 65w PSU, try the the 90w.  If you already have the 90w PSU, trading the 3000 for the 5000 with 130w PSU could be something to consider.

While I have PSU knowledge, it's not quite as high-end as some others with PSU crossovers.  So the 130w PSU working with the 3000 is only a guess of mine.  I do know it won't blow up the 3000 as voltage outputs are the same.

I'd ask if you have Waves MaxxAudio Pro, but I don't see it listed in the Setup & Specifications guide.  Screengrab below:

Hello again
Indeed my power is 65W. I changed to a 120W linear supplier and it didn't help either.
I discovered a new thing, when I disconnect the ethernet cable and leave the computer on WIFI the problem disappears.
Do you have any ideas on the subject and what else can be done?

I take it by leaving it on WiFi your using a USB dongle?

I don't know for sure if that's something you'd have to live with if you stick with the 3000.  First I heard of disconnecting Ethernet cable fixing USB's.

May be use the "Get help now" option on the lower right of the screen.  Like many, it does start out as a bot.  But if it doesn't fix the problem, connects you to a live agent (Dell employee).

Any more ideas? After working with WIFI and a wired connection, what I described is accurate

I take it your 3000 is in warranty?  Contact Dell directly with the "Get help now" on the lower right of the screen.  Also a host of help links at the end of every thread.
