On mine I don’t have a DVI port, I only have VGA, parallel port (the pink one) and a serial port. No DVI to be found. I don’t have a dedicated card as I got my optiplex from eBay a few years ago (must have been the old owners).

You can use a discrete video card in that system. And the 380 does have a DVI port which can be used for the IGPU. If your monitor only has a VGA port then you can use a DVI to VGA adapter such as this one from Amazon.

What are you looking for in a GPU card - Do you want VGA and/or DVI or something else?
What form factor/size is your 380? Chances are even if you have an SFF, just about any card with VGA will be LP (low profile).

I have the DT form factor and I want either VGA or HDMI (or both) and I want it to be an NVIDIA card (a fairly new one which doesn’t bottleneck the existing Core 2 Quad Q8400)
