If it helps:  https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/optiplex-7020-desktop/drivers

https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000129450/how-to-download-drivers-that-are-unavailable-on-dell-support-website

Better than a list, also ran across:  https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=m8fmr

You might want to attempt to install drivers without the GT 1030 installed.  Chipset driver should be among the first.  https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000132394/how-to-install-dell-drivers-in-the-correct-order

I don't know that Win7 can be built to what it should be without Microsoft updates, but you probably would know before I would seen as you've been in other places in this forum.  :)

I'm now at a loss.  May be one of our other contributors or Rockstars, like @redxps630 for one, will have some ideas.  Any one of them are welcome to chime in.

I don't quite think it's battery related as bad batteries can cause many problems, but it can't hurt to test or replace the size 2032 CMOS battery.

Also, are you sure you don't want to go with Win10?  It loads most needed drivers automatically.  Works mostly the same as Win7 except it has added features.  Please pardon if I'm overlapping knowledge.  For all I know you have a Win10 PC(s).

first forget about gt 1030 as it was released in the time after Win 7.

use your Dell service tag to find out which which ethernet controller was installed at factory would help.

not all the Dell Win 7 drivers listed on driver website are applicable to your pc unit.

normally let Win 7 auto install what it thinks the most relevant ethernet driver for your pc.

Op did not say which vendor was for the gt 1030

as mentioned gt 1030 was released after win 7.  not all vendors provide win 7 support for that.

Dell gt1030 is for Win 10 only

Thanks @redxps630 for replying.

Sounds like the 7020 with Win7 is better off without a GT 1030.
