Wireless does not reconnect after reboot
We have Optiplex 3060 machines in our environment. Which are installed with Windows 10 20H1 and is connected to our Windows Domain. All the systems have a wired connection and wireless connection. The wired adapter is the primary connection and the wireless adapter is their backup in case a switch fails. The issue we are having is after we setup the wireless connection and reboot the system it does not automatically reconnect to the wireless network. We have tried many things to resolve the issue and to no avail nothing has worked. Has anyone else encountered this same issue? And if you have how did you resolve it? Thanks for your time.
Things we have tried.
1.Disable power management for the wireless adapter.
2. Updated the drivers for the adapter.
3. Disable WAN mini-port.

I've never heard of any systems-admin setting up a LAN like this (especially not one using a true Windows-Server). That is not how WiFi was intended to be used. Most business LANs have WiFi purposely disabled or removed (for wired desktops). WiFi (if enabled and supported at all on the network) is intended for portable devices/computers (like laptops, tablets, and smart-phones).
Also remember that one-or-the-other (wired or wireless) over-rides the other (and which one is primary sometimes varies between desktops and laptops).

I know how to fix this issue!

Hello,
I understand your thoughts on the issue and I don't disagree. However in this environment it is necessary to have that backup connection. Thanks for your input.

After following your recommendations I am still encountering the issue. I have updated the drivers to the latest version and it still does not resolve the issue. Thanks.

Tick the box Connect Automatically during wireless connection setup. Reboot and test with all ethernet cable unplugged (a simulation of down switch).
