R440 psu firmware update failure

Hello community.

On my R440 i have updated psu without read any documentation, so i have restarted manually the server after idrac turn off (update from windows).

Luckyly one of my psu goes ok, but the other one go to blinking amber and show firmware version 0.0.0.

I have tested all the solution

-reflash firmware from windows

- flash from idrac = error cant update

-put out power supply for 10 minutes then put on

- put out, let alone 10 minutes and plug power cord out-off the server

if anyone can help me I thank them very much.

Hello Phoenix40,

I am sorry to see one of the PSU failed during a firmware update. It may be in an irrecoverable state if the power cycle was performed during the firmware update.

You may try putting the power supply firmware .exe file on a thumb drive, boot to the F10 LifeCycle controller, do  firmware update and point to the file on the thumb drive. See if it will take.

If you are still under warranty I'd recommend contacting support in your region.

Hi, you can close or suppress this post.

F10 LifeCycle controller does nothing except error message.

After doing a lots of thing, i re-apply original firmware (FROM WINDOWS) and after a long time (this time i have let the server reboot without action), The faulty power supply, comme back to life (before i have disabled power supply teaming)

So i have resolve my problem.
