WS-MAN Connection Issue
I am trying to add a chassis per the instruction with WS-MAN. I am getting the following error:

Device communication failed. Check the network connectivity or protocol credentials. subordinate error code : 0x8f011001 [0x8E040201]

I know that WS-MAN works because I have used the Dell Troubleshooting Tool and it returns the correct information. It also works in OME.
I have tried checking/unchecking WS-MAN Validate Certificate check box and get the same result.
Any suggestions on how to resolve? Thanks!

My suggestion would be to uncheck the "Validate Certificate" box so Power Center doesn't do any checking, delete the chassis from devices, and then do a re-discovery. Simple test I'd do for connectivity is to open a browser on the server running Power Center and verify that you can login to the CMC from there - https://m1000e, root, password. Sometimes when using the troubleshooting tool in the past I've forgotten that it needs to be run on the server and not on the laptop that I use to access the server.

Hi Roger, looks like this particular issue was due to the CMC version. OMPC only works on CMC 3.x or higher. Thanks!!
