2008 R2 is 64-bit only. There is NO 32-bit version.
Are you talking about Server 2008 SP2? That is not the same thing. 2008 shares a kernel with Vista, 2008 R2 shares a kernel with Windows 7. Server 2008 is not supported on the R230.
If you absolutely MUST run Server 2008 x86, then consider doing it in a virtual machine on Hyper-V, ESXi, or on a full modern Windows operating system. OR turn off the S130 and use Windows-managed RAID instead of the S130 (which is a horrible controller, by the way). Ideally, you would use an H730 controller, but an H330 or Windows-managed RAID would be far better options.
