600SC Plug n Play Configuration Error
I recently got my hands on a poweredge 600sc server. I've been working on setting it up the past few days and noticed that the firmware was out of date, so I downloaded the latest version and installed it. Now when I boot the computer I get a
"Plug n Play Configuration Error
Bus#00/Dev#8/Func#0: Embedded ATI Rage XL Video"
Error, and it won't boot. It had popped up a few times after the install so I just slapped a new video card in the machine and it worked the first time I booted it up. But now it doesn't seem to do anything. The screen just goes blank and does nothing. Anyone have any ideas on what might be going on?

If you can get to the f8 startup menu, did you try the last know good config.
Personally, with servers I do not install video card drivers, I leave it at the standard VGA driver, one less device driver to deal with or interfere with other drivers/resources.

What firmware update are you referring to? If the error appeared after updating this firmware, its possible it didn't complete successfully. I suspect you'll need to replace the MB.
