Bios Problems
Hi
I tried upgrading my Dell Poweredge 1400sc to Windows 2003 server. During the GUI installation process the computer started to beep repeadtely. When the machine restarted it stated that the logical drive had degraded. I decided to update the bios as well as the Perc3 Raid controllers. Upon doing the BIOS update, previously installed was A07 the update I was doing was to A09. The machine beeps 1-3-2-1.
What can I do to resolve this issue.
THanks

Well 1-3-2 is a no memory code. But the beep code should only be 3 beep sections not 4 like you posted...
So is the system now not completing post? Might want to reset the memory....or even before then just try clearing the power in the sys by unplugging it from the power source and hitting the power button to remove all power in the system, let it sit for a few seconds then plug it back in.

Thanks for responding, that was a typo for the error codes, it is just three beeps i am gettings 1-3-2. However I tried reseating the memory and I did try unplugging the computer and pressing the power button to release any power the board had. Any other ideas? Is there a way to flash the memory or try upgrading the BIOS again.
Thanks
