Bios update failed.

Hello, I was trying to update my R720 from 1.6.0 to 2.2.3 bios using this file (BIOS_763C0_WN64_2.2.3.EXE) on my Win 2008 server when en error occured. Execution status : System services is disabled. What should I do ?

Micropat,

With updating the BIOS and iDrac it is not advisable to jump updates to current when it was that far back as it can cause issues with the server. Also you need to walk the iDrac update up along with the BIOS. What you need to do is power down the server and then pull the power cord, then hold the power button to drain the flea power. After that the open the server and on the motherboard, just inside the power supply connections, is 2 jumpers, one is labeled NVRam. Move that jumper and reapply power to the server. Once power is indicated on the server then power back down and restore the jumper to its original location. After that then let the server sit for a couple minutes. That's powered off with ac cord in. 

After that try powering the server and hitting F10 at startup to see if the Lifecycle Controller is accessible.
