Bootup problem with T610 server

We have recently experienced a problem when booting up our T610, which happened out of the blue.  During the system bootup process, the system stops with the statement "Strick the F1 key to continue, F2 to run the system setup program".  If we are there, it is not a problem to click the F1 key to go on and boot up.  The real problem is that now we cannot do anything remotely that would cause the server to restart, as someone would have to be in the office to answer this statement.  This happens before it gets to the Microsoft part of the bootup process.  Any ideas as to why all of a sudden the bootup is stopping with this statement and not automatically continuing with the bootup?

The "Strike F1 key to continue, F2 to run the system setup program" message that you are seeing can be caused by a few different things. The reason that causes this the most is having a SATA port enabled when there is nothing actually connected to it. If the SATA setting are correct in the system BIOS then there may be an error displayed at the beginning of POST. I suggest restarting the server and watch the comlete POST process to see if that is the case.

to expand on Daniel's posting, something (usually in the bios) is configured so that the system thinks it is missing, so the system pauses and waits for the F1 key stroke. I've seen it be sata and other devices that can be enabled. Oh, specifically, if your sata B port is set to Auto and nothing is attached, this will cause the problem too. if your cdrom/dvd is on sata port A, make sure it is working properly.
