Broadcom Nic in SCO

Question

Hi, I'm running SCO OpenServer 5.06 on Dell PowerEdge 2650 servers. When I install the driver for Broadcom NIC, the system asks for Bus# and Device#, anybody has any idea where to find this info? There's a similar post in this forum almost 2 years ago, but no reply there :( Luckily, the first batch of 2650 servers we bought 2 years ago doesn't ask the question, after you install the driver, it automatically set it for you! That did help me to set the new batch of server with new Broadcom driver. However, when I setup the servers we bought just a couple of days ago, the previous setting doesn't work any more. So I have to try one by one. Previously, it was Bus# 3, Dev#6, and Dev#8, but this time it's Bus#5, Dev#6, and Dev#8. I tried Bus#1,2, then I went to 5, Bingo, whew! Thanks God it's not 10 or more. Hope it can help somebody, or maybe someone has a better way to do it, Thanks, Folio

Let me reply it myself. Broadcom engineer recommends the latest driver ver. 7,  (Dell is only ver.2.2?) I tried, it works perfect.

Hello,

i seem to have the similar problem as you have (had), i've downloaded the latest driver from the broadcom website but after installation the Sco Openserver (5.0.5) still doesn't recognise the NIC. The netconfig utility still wants to know the bus number etc. can you tell met what to do?
