Can you check whether you have RAID controller on a integrated slot or on a PCIe Slot? If it is on a PCIe Slot then you can try disabling that slot in BIOS.

Hello,

What server model are you working with? You should be able to go into the embedded SATA settings and set them to AHCI. RAID On is the setting that would enable the software controller. If you can share your server model, I'd be happy to be more specific.

None of these could help me :

Embedded SATA = Off

or

Embedded SATA = AHCI Mode

Hi May I ask why you want to disable Integrated RAID controller on iDRAC 9”? If you don’t wish to use, you could simply take out the H/W, I was thinking. Have a great one and let us know if you have any further questions!

As far as I understand it's on a PCIe slot :

> lspci | grep PERC
0000:86:00.0 RAID bus controller: Avago (LSI) PERC H330 Adapter

but I cannot find how to disable this slot in BIOS.

I have the same issue. Where did you disable the PCIe slot?

Hello,
I'm assuming you have iDRAC9 you can check on iDRAC  "configuration>BIOS settings>integrated devices>slot disablement
or "F2 system setup>BIOS>integrated devices>slot disablement

Enables or disables the available PCIe slots on your system. The slot disablement feature controls the configuration of the PCIe cards installed in the specified slot. Slots must be disabled only when the installed peripheral card prevents booting into the operating system or causes delays in system startup. If the slot is disabled, both the Option ROM and UEFI drivers are disabled. Only slots that are present on the system are available for control. https://dell.to/3H4oEZH

Hope that helps!
