This is on any system. PE1750, PE1850, PE2650, PE1950, PE2950...they are all done the same way. Either you install OM on it or have to be using a DRAC. There should be an easier way to clear the log than this. A DOS/floppy based utility should be easy enough for someone to write, I would think (I am not a programmer). As for being community-based, yes, I know that. But searching through these forums I saw some OLD posts with reference to this very problem (going back several years), with replies by Dell employees on it. So Dell reads them.

I spent an hour and a half on the phone with Dell this morning to attempt to get this, and am still without a working program that does so. If there is a program/floppy available for this, I'd appreciate if you could post a link to it. I can't be the only person that doesn't normally use OM to do this...if it's available, it would be a good thing if they made it in the applications list for the service tag on the support site (like they do with BIOS/firmware updates).

There are DOS based tools available to clear ESM logs for most of the systems listed. Call dell tech support and they should be able to provide them to you.
