Dell CS24-NV7 - Raid 10 | Not Loading OS
I have just installed a raid 10, But after the initialization the system doesn't seem to want to let the CentOS 7 setup.
If I go ahead and remove the raid level it will let me complete the CentOS install.
Something across the lines of the raid card seems to be stopping it.
I have replaced the Dell Perc 6i card for another one and run ran the raid but still being faced with the same issue.
Any help would be really appreciated.

Hi,
Is the raid array finishing initialization? Have you tried centos 6 or installing centos 7 in a vm?

Does it give an error during the install? Can you post some screenshots of where it stops?

Hi
Yes the array has finished the initialization.
I have tried CentOS 6 but the same issue.
I would like to add the current firmware thats running is 6.2.0-0013
Thanks

Hello,
Unfortunately as I get to this screen and I hit the enter key
It just goes to a blank screen with a flashing cursor in the top right hand corner.

Are they all new drives? It could be a bad drive, which is why no raid works.

You could try the live image and try updating from there, but this system doesn’t have any support. https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=cwf92

Hi,
Anyone reading this may also want answers to this bizarre issue I was facing.
After a lot of testing and a lot of responses that no issues were found.
I did then look at the motherboard GA-3CESL-RH (Rev1.7) and found that the CMOS was enabled.
After I had disabled this I re setup the raid 10 and all is good installed windows and centos with no fall backs.
