Dell PowerEdge R740 Boot Problem | The BIOS has corrupted hw

Question

Hi,

We Have a major boot problem in our main server PowerEdge R740, during boot up, it has an error "The BIOS has corrupted hw, see attached file. poweredge R740 error.jpg

Hoping for any quick response as this is our main server, Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, when you remove which card filled in slot 7, does the POST process complete? Please check power drain and if the server completes POST in minimum configuration.

1. Power the server down.
2. Disconnect server from all power cables, Network cables.
3. Hold down the power button continuously for at least 10 seconds.
4. Insert power cabless and network cables back to the system.
5. Wait about 2 minutes before powering on the server for iDRAC initialization.
6. Power the system on.

Minimum to POST for the R740:

One processor (CPU) in socket processor 1
One memory module (DIMM) in socket A1
One power supply unit
Right control panel and cable (for power button functionality)
System board
