Dell R710 Memory Config
Hi,
I know this has been discussed in some manner many times but I'm struggling to find a valid memory configuration for my R710. I have 4 x 8gb (2R8) and 4 x 4gb (2R4) memory modules for a total of 48gb. Which memory slot(s) would you suggest I use? I've tried 1 of each type in 2 channels (for each cpu) and a variety of other combinations all with no success - the system boots mind you, I just get a memory config warning.
Thanks,
Joe

Can you provide more details or screenshot of warning message you are getting.
Did you have single CPU or dual CPU config. If you have 2 CPU, Can you try installing 8GB Memory on A1,A2, B1 and B2 and 4GB memory on A4,A5,B4 and B5 and check the behavior.
You can find more details on R710 memory configuration on below link. Refer System Memory section on page 129
