Dell R720XD not finding Network Daughter Card
I just removed my Intel(R) Gigabit 4P I350-t rNDC network card and installed a G8RPD Quad Port 2x 10GBASE-T + 2x 1GBASE-T rNDC | Broadcom 57800-T network daughter card in my R720XD server.
When booting it says "Missing Intergrated Network Card"
Do I need to to load a driver? I thought the system inventory would update the new card?
System seems to be still showing the old card in IDRAC inventory,
In the log the IDRAC says the the NDC is absent.
Newbie needs help!

MarcT72,
The card is showing as available for the R720xd, but if it isn't working I would start by removing the card and checking the card and slot for damage, debris, bent pins or connections, etc. Also, would you confirm the specific sloty you are installing the card in? If everything looks ok then I would probably make sure that the server is up to date on BIOS, iDrac, etc to be sure that it isn't that the server is on a previous version that doesn't support that card.
Lastly, I do see a Windows 64bit driver listed for the 57800, so you may also want to try installing that as well.
Let me know if this helps and how it goes.

Chris,
This is a daughter card so it mounts directly to the motheboard. Checked the slot and pims and everything looks fine. I put the Intel(R) Gigabit 4P I350-t back in and it works fine.
Running IDRAC 7 Firmware 2.65.65.65 which shows as the latest available and the BIOS is running 2.9.0 which is the latest available.
Not running windows, I'm running TrueNAS 25.04 (Fangtooth)
Truenas never gets to see the NIC card as it isn't detected by the sytem at startup.
Begining to theink the Broadcom card is DOA.

Hi,
I might think the same, the card might be DOA. I've checked if there are any requirements as such like CPU requirement, but there isn't any. At first, I was thinking of CPLD update, but for R720XD the CPLD is updated alongside with BIOS, there isn't a separated firmware update. If you have iDRAC, can you check in the iDRAC logs if you are seeing any traces of the rNDC not being detected, or it is but having an issue?
