Dell UPS Rack/Tower 2700W HV

Hello

I currently have an Dell UPS Rack/Tower 2700W and I try to install the Dell UPS as :
- Real server which sends requests to stop
- Virtual servers that must stop before the central server.

I have a little trouble with the software interface, even with the help files user. So if someone has already done that, I'm interested.

 regards,

Hi Everyone,

Just to let you know that Dell just released there is an r2 version of the "new" Dell UPS Management software just launched last week.  The link is below:

http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/DriverDetails/DriverFileFormats/Product/dell-line-interactive-tower-ups-1000t?DriverId=RV94V&FileId=2995429792&urlProductCode=False

And the userguides are available from:
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/ACC/UPSD/en/ulnmug.pdf
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/ACC/UPSD/en/mumcug.pdf

Some key upgrades are as follows:

Core improvements:
-          Support for Dell Intelligent PDUs & their environmental sensors
-          Support for redundant UPS configurations
-          Force remote virtual machine shutdown for VMware HA clusters
-          New plugin for XenCenter
-          Agentless control of VMware (when used with vCenter) & Citrix (when used with XenCenter) hosts directly from MUMC console (no ULNM local agent installation required)
-          Generation of alarm events and logs in vCenter console panel

And other improvements
-          Removed pre-requisite of Perl SDK for MUMC (still exists for ULNM but that's part of the vMA pre-requisite anyway)
-          Multi-language software & userguides (previously ensligh only)
-          Opimization of database to handle larger installations
-          Improved alarm logging, fault finding, alarm acknowledgement and event export.
-          Improved reverse name resolution for nodes and computers

Hope this helps!

Hi There, you would want to set the redundancy level to1 in this case.  See pg. 73 in the Dell ULNM User Guide here for further information on this topic.

Thanks!
