Disable Processor in BIOS??

Hi,
I have a PowerEdge 2650 dual processor server in a live enviroment running 2000 server & SQL2000 server. The SQL license is for a single processor only, so unless I want to fork out another £4000 I need to disable a processor or worse case scenario remove it physically?

Has anyone any ideas on how I would acheive this, preferable diabling through BIOS if possible?

Thanx

A processor that is installed can not be disabled in the BIOS.  You can remove it and this will do the same thing.

The easier method is to use the /numproc=1 switch in your boot.ini:

Hmm, that sounds interesting, would Microsoft be OK with that on a licensing front do you know?

Thanx
