Usually, you can disable devices in the BIOS without removing them.
Do you mean that to remove the devices you had to remove the card?
Did you have trouble booting to your "real" cd/fdd when the virtual devices were in the boot order?
I don't quite understand what the need was in disableing the VirtualCD/VirtualFloppy (Why?). Adding some more details may help others who may have similar problems.

Problem: OS assigns the drive letter F: to the system drive/partition.
Reason: During the OS installation the Virtual CD becomes C: and the First HDD gets the drive letter F:
Unfortunately you cannot disable the Virtual CD/Floppy from the BIOS so you have to remove the RAC card from the system. Turn the server back on. Install the OS (It will no set the first HDD to C:). Once the OS is installed, reinstall the RAC card. The virtual CD/Floppy will now be assigned the next available Drive letters.

I am having the same issue, this is stupid, that this card takes up drive leters C and D. Does anyone that works at Dell actually read this forum and do anything about these issues? Sofar all I have seen is the person that posted the issue eventually finding a resolution for themselves.

On boot, when the machine gets to the DRAC board initialization, press CTRL-D. Once in the DRAC board configuration press page down and DISABLE the virtual devices.
