Erro System Halted - Embedded NIC 1

PT-BR :

Pessoal, boa tarde!

ENG

Guys, good afternoon!

After heavy rain at my region and unexpected server shutdown, I am experiencing this error when trying to start the server again (Model PowerEdge T320). Apparently it indicates a failure in one of the onboard network cards (it has a green LED on, even without a cable), but I have another offboard card and another onboard one. So perhaps I needed to disable the one that apparently burned out and continue using the server.

I can't access the BIOS or do anything to stop this error from appearing. Does anyone have any tips to help me?

Hi,

F2 key is the option to access the BIOS. If the system is halted, I don't think you are able to access the BIOS.

Do check where is the PCIe training error is, if it's removable, please remove it and try again. Alternative try these steps:

  1. Power the server down.
  2. Disconnect server from all power cables, Network cables.
  3. Hold down the power button continuously for at least 10 s.
  4. Insert power cables and network cables back to the system.
  5. Do not power the server on for initializing iDRAC and wait about 2 minutes.
  6. Press the power button to power the system on.

Hello thanks for choosing Dell.

Would this help your understanding?

https://dell.to/40sPDsA
“Embedded NIC1 & NIC2 Allows you to enable or disable Embedded NIC1 & NIC2. By default, the Embedded NIC1 & NIC2 option is set to Enabled”

The point is “embedded”. And you need to get into BIOS first.

Respectfully,

@DELL-Young E How do I Force getting into BIOS?

I've tried to press  F2, F10, F12, Del. But none of them worked, is there any other way?
