HI GUYS,

i have T130  PowerEdge Server and it's giving me Error when i do restart for the memory (an error was detected during memory initialization.) i know this Error mean i have to update the BIOS , iDRAC . I update the iDRAC no problem but when i do the BIOS update it's showing me this error ERROR 2.JPG. so i don't know what to do. i did uninstall the HP Baseboard Management Controller IPMI Device , but i'm still facing the problem. also i don't see the Microsoft Generic IPMI Compliant Device on the "System Devices"

please advice if any one can help with this issue

Thank you

So what I did I went to computer management system devices I select HP IPMI drive and I uninstall it and I checked the box delete the drive software from this device. That’s what I did Note : “Microsoft Generic IPMI Compliant Devices”it’s not there I don’t see it under “system devices” the drive is not there ...? This is exactly what I did and what I see . Please advise thanks

Amed001,

If you follow this link it discusses the issues you're seeing and a couple other steps you can try. If you still have issues with the update you can boot to a bootable USB and then runthis version of the update from the command prompt.

Let me know what you see.

To confirm, did you just delete the device or did you do the following?

Select the HP IPMI driver and click on "Update Driver". From the provided list, please select the "Microsoft Generic IPMI Compliant Device"

This will replace the HP driver by the Microsoft Generic driver and should resolve the issue. I am not positive that deleting it will, is why I was asking.
