ERROR "The server is not configured for transactions"
Hi DELL,
we use Windows 2000 Server on the DELL PE 600SC and the server is the member of the Windows NT 4 Domain. Befor 7 days we had to reinstall our Domain-Controller and since these day we can not access shared folders and printers on the PE 600SC.The server is after reinstallation re-added again in the domain of Win NT 4 server.But wenn we click the server in the Server Manager of Win NT 4 server we get the message "The server is not configured for transactions" and also we can not access shared files and printers.
How can we enable these transactions for server and solve the problem ??

The problem is caused when the IPC$ share isn't running. Drop to a command prompt and type "Net share"
if IPC$ is not listed type net share ipc$ and hit enter. Then you get to look for one of the many things that can cause the share to mysteriously go away......
