I had tried re-seating the cables and such, but I'm not entirely sure if I'm missing a terminator or not. Since I haven't touched the H/W except for replacing the hot-pluggable SCSI drives, I'm not sure how that would happen unless someone else took it out.
So if my system has 4 hot-plug SCSI drives and a DDS-4 tape drive, as well as the CD-ROM/FDD combo drive, what cables should be connected, and which ones should be terminated.
BTW. There are 2 SCSI connectors on the backside of the backplane (facing the fans). The right one is plugged into the end connector of the SCSI cable marked "Backplane", which goes to Channel A, and the left one is empty. The middle connector of the backplane cable is empty.
There is another SCSI cable labeled "Peripheral" that goes from Channel B to the tape drive, but I assume that the Termination A message applies to channel A and not Channel B, and in any case that cable is terminated.
Other posts about this problem have been solved by replacing the backplane, hence the reason I asked what support I could get to do this.
